Marvel movies in order to watch

Let’s start off with the first Marvel film in the series, Captain America! Captain America: The First Avenger should be the first Marvel film to be watched as it arguably introduces audiences to the topic of superheroes.

Captain America-The First Avenger (2011)

If one watches closely, the film also takes place decades before any of the other films. That’s the best part about movies, especially the Marvel series. Movies are meant to be watched more than once to understand and spot context clues.

Iron Man (2008)

And then it’s on to the Iron Man films. Billionaire engineer, Tony Stark creates a unique weaponized suit of armor to fight evil. Pay very close attention to the end credits of the film. Audiences are introduced to an important character from the Avenger series!

In The Incredible Hulk, in an experiment gone wrong, a man turns into a humongous green monster on the rampage. Tony Stark gives an important message to Thaddeus Ross informing him of the Avengers.

Iron Man 2 is a continuation from its first film. Since others are now aware of his identity, Tony Stark has to solve a confusing history. In the after-credits scene of Iron Man 2 however, Coulson finds I very important object which is used in Thor. Keep a sharp eye out!

Thor (2011)

As for Thor, in the after-credits scene, Fury shows Erik the Tesseract. Erik decides to investigate further, being under the control of Loki. We learn more about the Tesseract in Captain America: The First Avenger, and in the after-credits scene of THIS film, we get a post-credits scene that’s essentially just a trailer.

Watch the after-credits scene in the Avengers eating shawarma! And then after Avengers, it’d on to Iron Man 3. Now suffering from panic attacks, Tony Stark’s heroics have been affected since The Avengers.

After Iron Man 3, is Thor: The Dark World. After the battle in New York, Thor and Loki are off on another adventure. Then, viewers are introduced to The Collector In the after-credits scene.

Guardians of the Galaxy

If you have seen Guardians of the Galaxy, viewers will know hat The Collector ends up being a character. Then in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, viewers are left with their mouths hanging open after a well-directed twist! Watch the first Guardians of the Galaxy first to have the story fresh in your mind.

After that, there is a mid-credits scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier featuring Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver, who are introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron. And after that, is Ant-Man, which has a post-credits scene leading directly into Captain America: Civil War.

Civil War’s after credit scene consists of Peter Parker in his bedroom, leading us into Spider-Man: Homecoming

Not only is Spider-Man introduced in Civil War, but no other than Black Panther, audiences next superhero in 2018!

Black Panther

After Black Panther, Doctor Strange has an after-credits scene which leaders directly into Thor: Ragnarok. Stay in the theater for these post-credit scenes! You never know what pieces of information you’ll miss. Thor: Ragnarok has a mid-credits scene where Thanos’s ship rose into the air. As soon as Avengers: Affinity War starts, the story continues right where the story ends!

During the mid-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp, the characters of the film get affected but the events of Infinity War, so that means in order to understand Infinity War, viewers have to watch Ant-Man and the Wasp first.
