5 Shows Like Wednesday If You Can’t Get Enough of the Netflix Series

Update on

As the year 2022 rounds up and everyone is eagerly waiting to hear any news about Wednesday season 2, what should we do?

That is the question on everyone’s minds right now. Or at least, on the minds of people that absolutely loved Wednesday and can’t seem to get enough of it! Well, lucky for you, there are some shows that are quite similar to Wednesday, even if not 100% a copy (and why would anyone want a copy, honestly?).

So, don’t lose hope yet! You can still keep yourself preoccupied with these other supernatural-style shows while waiting for the next season. We have put together a list of some shows that you can enjoy as you wait on any further news.

However, in order to watch these shows, you need to connect to a high-speed internet connection like Xfinity – simply click on this link to check out the best internet plans by Xfinity in your region. Once that problem is solved, then you can watch the shows that we have talked about below!

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

If you haven’t watched Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, then this is about to be your second favorite show after Wednesday. This supernatural teen dramedy is a lot like Wednesday, which is why it is no surprise that the show was canceled way before Wednesday was aired. However, we know that wasn’t the only reason for the show’s cancelation. Unfortunately, COVID played a big part in that cancelation.

Nonetheless, for fans of Wednesday, this show is right up their alley. This show is on the comics Sabrina the Teenage Witch and it follows Sabrina as she attends to her responsibilities and goes to the Academy of Unseen Arts, a supernatural school, perfect for people like her. Both shows have amazing lead characters and are equally whimsical.

Legacies

If you are looking for a show with the plot simply being about teen werewolves and vampires and a special school for them, then Legacies should be on your watch list. This show is a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries and is four seasons long. The story follows Hope Mikaelson, a part vampire, part werewolf, and part witch (forget the best of both worlds, it’s the best of ALL worlds in here!) and her journey as she attends Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted.

While the show lacks the humor and flair you see in Wednesday, it still makes for a pretty good show about supernatural teens and their complicated lives. Once you start watching the show, you will also realize that Tim Burton hasn’t directed this show, however, as we said before, it makes for a pretty good show on its own.

The Order

Another supernatural show involving a school for the unique and gifted is The Order. This show is a bit different from the others in that the kids are a little older and the theme or tone of the show is more serious. There are plenty of jokes and humor, but ultimately, it falls in the same category, which is why it is here on this list.

The show follows Jack Morton, a new student at Belgrave University as he finds more than he bargained for. He learns about the school’s magical secrets, including a suspicious secret society called the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose. Aside from that, he finds romance, mystery, and much more danger. This show should also be on your watch list as it is quite similar but not the same as Wednesday.

The Umbrella Academy

The Umbrella Academy is yet another show that is similar to Wednesday, however, it is very different from it too. For once, the show is not based around teens in a school, but then again, we do have teens here as well. The story of the show follows a group of supernatural siblings that get together after a while in order to solve the mystery of their father’s death.

While the plotlines differ heavily between Wednesday and this show, they are still similar in the sense that they are both focused on supernatural people. And let’s not forget the iconic dance scenes from both, Wednesday and The Umbrella Academy. So, if you are a fan of supernatural shows, regardless of whether they are students in a supernatural Hogwarts-style academy, then you should add this show to the list as well!

The Midnight Club

The Midnight Club

This Netflix show is a bit similar to Wednesday, but not by a lot. For starters, instead of being a horror dramedy, this show is entirely horror. The story follows a group of terminally ill teenagers in a hospice that gather every night at midnight and tell each other scary stories. While it sounds like something we all did as kids with our friends or cousins, this leans a little bit more toward actual horror.

The show is still funny in its own way with little bits of humor thrown here and there, but it is also very frightening, so you will have to keep that in mind before starting the show. So, The Midnight Club is also something that deserves to make it to your list, especially if you enjoy the horror aspect of Wednesday. After all, as we said before, the vibe of this show matches the vibe of Wednesday more or less.
