IP2World Review 2023: Residential Proxies with IP Balance that Never Expire

Update on

The IP2World is a new provider that comes with support for 3 ways to make use of it. You can either use their proxy manager software, make use of their API, or simply use the regular proxy details to access the service. This IP2World review has been written to provide you with all the need to about the service.

The IP2World service made its debut on the market a few months ago. This provider can be likened to the now-defunct 911.re service. It comes with a proxy client that gives you more features than the regular proxy service.

The service, however, is much more feature-packed than the 911.re. This is because it comes with features support for HTTP proxies in addition to the HTTP proxies. You can see the IP2World as the service that provides the best of the regular proxy services and the 911.re-like proxies.

The IP2World Solution

The IP2World proxy service is not a specialized proxy service for just a particular use case. It has been optimized for use in many applications and use cases. But what are the popular use cases of the IP2World residential proxy? Let’s take a look at some of these below.

Web Scraping

Web data extraction via automated means is one of the powers the IP2World will provide you with. As stated earlier, the service has got over 90 million IP addresses you can use for that. For this, you will have to make use of their HTTP rotating residential proxies. The IPs provided here are undetectable and fast enough for your web scraping need. The service does have IPs in all countries around the world, making it best for localized data scraping.

Account Management

Another use case of IP2World is that it is perfect for managing multiple accounts. If you even take a look at the website of this proxy service, you will notice an emphasis on that. The service offered a guide on how to configure their proxies on AdsPower, one of the popular antidetect browsers out there. You can use their proxies for other antidetect browsers as well. All you need is to follow the guidelines provided for AdsPower and replicate it on your chosen provider of choice.

Many Other Use Cases

IP2World offers undetectable proxies. And you have the option of choosing between dynamic and static proxies. These together with the fact the service support both the SOCKS5 and HTTP protocols, makes it perfect for many proxy use case. You can integrate the service with any client software or bot of your choice. You can either use the proxy client (IP2World Proxy Manager), use the proxy credentials, or their API to access their proxies.

How IP2World Proxy Works

IP2 World Configuration

IP2World proxy service offers only residential proxies. As in the case with most of the other residential proxies in the market, IP2World does not own the IPs in its pool. Instead, the IPs are sourced from a P2P network. In this section of the article, we will describe how the service integrates IPs owned by third parties and how it all comes together to provide you with undetectable proxies. For regular proxies, your requests are routed via the proxy server to your target site and the same process is repeated in reverse. But in the case of residential proxies like IP2World, the method is slightly different.

IP2World maintains a pool of IPs. For now, we can’t ascertain whether the IPs are ethically sourced. However, we do know the IPs are not owned by them. If you send a web request with their proxies configured. The route the request follows starts from your device, then to their proxy server. Instead of going to the target site from them, the IP2World server then routes the requests to your chosen IP. It is through this chosen IP that your request gets to your target site. This makes you appear as a real residential user as opposed to a proxy user.

The major difference between IP2World and most other providers is IP control and some of the extra features it comes with. With this service, you choose specific IPs to use. The IPs expire within a day. This service also does have support for port forwarding — a feature missing in most providers. The proxy manager that comes with this service makes it look a lot like 911.re. In fact, this is seen as one of the alternatives to the 911.re service. However, it is still a new provider that hasn’t stood the taste of time as the 911.re service.

Pricing & Features

One of the areas you will come to like the IP2World is its pricing. This service proxies are reasonably priced with a customer-friendly rental period. The pricing for the two types of proxies offered differs so we will have to look at the pricing for each of the services differently.

SOCKS5 Residential Proxies

The SOCKS5 residential proxies are the proxies the service is best known for. It is also the service that resembles the offering of the 911.re service. For this service, pricing is based on the number of IP addresses binded or used. For this service, you purchase a number of IPs and this never expires until you have used as many as the number of IPs you buy. Yes, your subscription remains. The pricing for this one starts from $30 for 100 IPs. As of the time of writing this article, you are also given additional 100 IPs.

SOCKS5 Residential Proxies Price

One thing you will come to like about this service is that the more IPs you pay for, the cheaper the price per IP becomes. In their smallest plan, an IP is $0.15. However, If you go for their $220 plan with 1K IPs, the price goes down to $0.11. For the $750 plan with 5K IPs, the price per IP is down to $0.07. Each of the plans have bonuses attached to them as of the time of writing this review. We can’t guarantee the bonuses will still remain.

Rotating Residential Proxies

Their rotating residential proxies are like every other residential proxies. The pricing is based on bandwidth and does expire. However, there is a huge difference that will be beneficial to you. This is the rental period. Unlike the other providers that have a rental period of one month, IP2World has a validity period of 6 months. Let’s take a look at the pricing of their individual packages.

Rotating Residential Proxies of IP2 World

Pricing for this starts from $25 in their starter plan and comes with 5GB. As you purchase more bandwidth, the price per GB reduces. Take, for instance, the price per GB for their starter plan is $5. For their Max plan, the price per GB goes down to as low as $1.82. Also interesting is the fact that you are given additional bandwidth free as a bonus for the high plans. Generally, the pricing for IP2World is considered affordable compared to most of its established competitors.

Payment Method Support, Refund, and Free Trial

IP2World makes payment easy for users. The service provides extensive coverage for payment methods. For IP2World, you can pay with the regular traditional methods such as your Visa & MasterCard debit/credit cards. The service also does have support for other payment methods such as UnionPay. If you want to pay via cryptocurrency, you are also covered. However, unlike in the case of the other services, crypto payment confirmation is not automatic and you will have to wait for confirmation within 72 hours.

IP2 World Payment Method Support

It is important you know that IP2World does not support refunds. Yes, for this service, all payments are final. However, the service does have a free trial option for you to make use of their service and make sure the service works for you before purchasing any of their plans. According to the information on their website, there is no ground for a refund.

Features of IP2World

  • Offers 3 different methods to access and use their proxies. You can retrieve proxy details from their dashboard programmatically using their API either as TXT or JSON. You can also get proxy details from the dashboard. The last method is via the Windows IP2World proxy manager software.
  • Provide one of the most extensive location coverage with granular geo-targeting options. With this provider, you can choose to use proxies from a specific country, state, and even city in specific countries.
  • IP2World has got one of the biggest proxy pools in the market with over 90 million IP addresses. These are sourced via P2P networks owned by the service. You aren’t paying for any specific IP, but for access to their pool.
  • Supports both rotating and sticky IP assignments. You can maintain the same IP address for up to 30 minutes. You can even set the rotation time from the dashboard. However, it does have support for random IPs which changes IPs for you after every request.
  • Pricing is quite affordable with one of the best validity/rental periods in the market. Their socks5 proxies offer lifetime validity (proxies never expire unless used). In the case of their regular residential rotating proxies, a validity period of 6 months.
  • The service does offer a free trial option for new customers to test out the service. However, all sales are final and no refund is provided for whatever reason. The service has got extensive support for payment methods ranging from cards to cryptocurrencies and wallets such as Alipay and UnionPay.
  • The user interface for both their web interface as well as the Windows software is quite friendly and intuitive even for first-time users.
  • You can create user accounts and share any amount of bandwidth from your dashboard. This makes it perfect for sharing with friends and co-workers while controlling their bandwidth usage to avoid sudden exhaustion.
  • Unlimited bandwidth and requests for their SOCKS5 proxies. The limit is in the number of binded IPs which is the basis for their pricing. For the rotating residential proxies, you can enjoy unlimited concurrent sessions but with limited bandwidth.
  • Offer genuine SOCKS5 proxies that can serve as a good alternative to the now-defunct 911.re proxy service with support for port forwarding. The IP2World service also does have support for HTTPS proxies, which makes its use case quite versatile.

How to Use IP2World

The IP2World service is easy to use. As a paid proxy service, you will need to register to make use of it. You can go straight to purchasing a plan to use. However, I will recommend you speak to a customer agent and even use their free trial before purchasing a plan. This is to ensure their proxies will work for you before becoming a paid user since no refund is provided. With an account and active proxy, you can use the service via 3 methods — regular method, API method, and software.

Regular Method

The regular method of using proxies is simple. For this to work, you will need to create a user if you want to use the username-password method of authentication.

Step 1: To do this, log into your dashboard and enter the “Auth-User List” section from the dashboard. You can click on the “Add Users” button and an interface will pop up for you to enter the details.

Step 2: As you can see from the above, you can assign a user password and allocate an account of bandwidth such a user can consume. Click on the confirm button to create the user. With a user created,  you can now proceed to use this method.

Step 3: Go to the “Get Proxies” and choose the “User+Pass Auth” option. You will be taken to an interface where you will set up the proxy. You can choose the country, state, and even city. You can also set the IP randomization option.

Step 4: On the same page, you are provided the proxy host, port, username, and password. There is also a box for the CURL for those that need that.

Usage Via the IP2 Proxy Manager

For you to use this method, you will need to install the IP2 Proxy Manager software. This works for only Windows.

Step 1: Go to the IP2World official website and locate the URL to download the software.

Step 2: Install the software and launch it. Provide your username and password.

Step 3: Click on the highly noticeable circle open button.

Step 4: Click on the “ProxyList”  tab on the navigation option on the left. This will reveal a good number of proxies for you to use. Need to right-click on one and bind it.

Step 5: After you have done that, you can then check the “TodayList” section. Choose the IP and connect to it.

Step 6: You can then use the port forwarding feature to use the proxy. Use the local proxy host and port provided to connect to it.

Use the API Method

The API method is quite similar to the User-Pass Auth method. This method is only strictly for programmers and coders. Since they are the ones that will want to retrieve proxies programmatically. For this, you will have to use the IP authentication method.

IP authentication method

All you have to do is log in to the user dashboard and add your device IP or the IP address of the devices you want to use the proxies on. Then go to the API method section and set up the proxy you want and then generate an API link to use.

Our Speed Test

How fast are the IP2World proxies? It is a known fact that proxies will reduce your Internet speed. But how much reduction is too much? To find out how fast the IP2World proxies are, I had to test them. I used their rotating residential proxies for the test with the proxy host, port, username, and password gotten from the dashboard. First, I had to test my Internet speed without proxies. And it was quite slow because of the location I tested from — somewhere in Africa. Below is the best result I got from my own speed test without their proxies. The tool used for this testing is the Speedtest by Ookla.

Speedtest by Ookla on Location Georgia

Looking at my speed test, you can tell that it is quite slow compared to what is obtainable in the developed part of the world. While this speed is slow, we can still use it as a benchmark to see how fast the IP2World proxies are.

Speedtest by Ookla on Atlanta

As you can see above, the speed reduction is approximately by half. While this might look like a lot, if you consider my how my Internet speed could affect this and the fact that it is a residential proxy service with all of the rerouting, you will see that this speed is quite acceptable.

ISP Test — Residential IP or Not?

Residential proxies are better at being undetectable compared to datacenter proxies. Some providers will want to make you think they offer residential proxies but in reality, all they offer are datacenter proxies. We set out to check if the proxies offered by this service make use of residential proxies. The tool for the test here is the IPInfo.io website. We visited the homepage and we are greeted with our IP information. Below is a screenshot of the relevant section of the IP details.

IP Type of IP2 World

Looking at the value for the type, you will see that it is ISP. IP addresses from Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are known as residential IPs. There is a classification though such as where MNOs offer you an IP, making it mobile IP but that is not a focus here.

Our Verdict

Compared to the popular proxy providers out there, the IP2World service is still new. And like all others proxy providers, it does have its pros and cons. However, for this service, its pros outweigh its cons and it has shown great power from the start. The service has extensive location coverage with a big proxy pool. It is fast enough, offers undetectable proxies, and has got a pocket-friendly pricing. However, we recommend you make use of their free trial option before opting in as a paid user.
