A detailed look at the retrospective patch schedule for Dota 2 reveals that Valve patches every six months, not counting the letter patches. Truly global patches are released once a year, and by all accounts 7.33 will be that.

The biggest among the latest patches was 7.29. which is listed as a global patch on StatsDota, and the statistics from 7.29. Patch 7.29 was the one that added a new hero to the game. At The International 2022 the developers announced Muerta to be added to the game in early 2023, which means that a new hero Muerta will be added in patch 7.33.

Glimpse into the future

On March 6, when the majors will be decided and the winter tour ends, the next update will be available. The Lima Major is the first major event of the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 competition season.

The championship takes place from February 22 to March 5, with 18 teams from six regions competing:

  • Western Europe;
  • Eastern Europe;
  • China, North;
  • South America;
  • South-East Asia.

The prize fund of the major will be $ 500 thousand. Valve has not said what specific changes will be added to Dota 2 with the new patch – perhaps it will be announced during The International 2022 hero Muerta.

February updates for Dota 2

February updates for Dota 2

Dota 2, unlike Overwatch Vulkan, has been under criticism for some time now. The regular balance fixes, which are usually meant to make MOBAs exciting and interesting, have seemed rather boring and uninteresting lately. Now there are signs of the return of a true developer legend to breathe new life into Dota 2.

In the mini-patch of February, the developers of Dota 2 fixed a critical bug with the ultimatum ability Primal Beast, as well as a number of other bugs in the game. For example, a bug with the Primal Beast Primal Beast Ultimatum has been fixed.

Fixed an issue where some Immortal items from 2020 could not be sold on the Steam marketplace. Fixed an issue that caused Lifestealer Lifestealer with Aghanim's Scepter to miss the first attacks on the target he used Infest on.

Fixed the interaction between Toss and Ravage and Pulverize abilities when used on a target with Aeon Disk.

Also, Dota 2 developers added ability to choose hotkeys for boosting talents and made other minor changes:

  • updated SDK (developer toolkit) file;
  • updated HUD panel;
  • new descriptions and tooltips for some abilities.

Last, Dota 2 developers updated localization files. Added support club content for DPC 2023.

Minor changes made to the broadcast viewing interface. Updated the properties of Collector's Cache 2020 items.
